Halloweens a comin!

As Halloween approaches I decided to make our girls their own little Halloween totes this year.  We went as a family to Joanns and let the girls pick out their own fabric for their tote.  Not surprising Tinsley demanded the cupcakes and Riley loved the cats!

When I got finished both of them were so excited to finally have them.  I took them outside and took some pictures to show my FB fans on my Snappier "U" page what they looked like.  They were both so sad when I had them give them back to me so I could put them away until Halloween.

Riley's first day of preschool!

Our precious little Riley started preschool just a couple weeks ago.  We had been told that she didnt get in and that if a spot opened up we would be contacted.  Well not long after we got a call and less than a week later she started.  She was so excited to go to school and learn among lots of new friends.  I got a couple pictures before we headed out the door.  I have NEVER been able to get smiles like this out of her!  I think that says something :)

We got to her class and met her teachers, dropped off her back pack and jacket, found her name and showed her the shape rug to go sit on.  She had no problems saying goodbye to mom and Tinsley.  When we went to pick her up she was all smiles and so excited to tell us about her day.  Its been a great blessing to have her be able to go and learn and be with other children her age.

Ive also never had one on one time with Tinsley like this before either so that has been so fun getting to know my little monkey even more and see her personality flourish.

I love my family!

Not long ago we did a family home evening on I love my Family.  We talked about how there is more to our family than just mom and dad and sister.  There is also Grandmas and Grandpas, cousins and more.  After our short little lesson we helped the girls to paint pictures and make lots of hand prints.   Our girls had a blast and talked about family for days.

As an artist myself I can safely say, this is what an artist is supposed to look like. :)

Riley carefully drew a beautiful picture and then shortly after decided to smear paint all over hers just like Tinsley. At least I have proof though.  :)

Our many many hand prints!

After it was all said and done, we had a really great family home evening.  Our girls love being taught new things and they thrive on family together time.  I do believe this is one of the most precious things that I can take part in in this time of their lives!
