Missionaries to the rescue!

Today is Father's Day and unfortunately Casey has to work :(  I wasnt thrilled with the idea of going to church alone because Tinsley has been quite the unruly child during sacrament. So when I got up I prayed that I might get the help I needed today so that I didnt go insane.  My prayers were answered!

Well we walked in to church and got to sit by my good friend V and her two beautiful little girls.  Sacrament had started and so far Tinsley was doing okay.  About 15 minutes in she started to get restless.  Right about that time two of the 4 elders in our ward came and sat a few seats next to us.  Tinsley thought they were the greatest.  The whole rest of sacrament she ran back and forth between the two elders and myself giving them papers and crayons.  They had poking wars and made funny faces..all which Tinsley ate up.  They got up to leave for a moment and she followed after.  She wasnt too happy they were leaving, but her friends came back and her face lit up.  She was the best today I have seen her in months.

Those two Elders saved me today and I am so extremely grateful!  I just may sit by the Elders every week... :)

Road trip!

We got the chance to go home to Utah at the end of May.  We didnt even know for sure if we were going until two days before we left.  We only stayed for a week but it was so nice to be home.

Our girls did surprisingly well on the ride.  Its a 14hr drive so I was a little worried that Tinsley would be screaming a good portion of the time because she does not like to be stationary for too long. But with only three stops they surpassed my expectations and watched movies the whole way there. You cant tell by the look on Riley's face, but she was soo excited to go and see grandma!  Casey drove the whole 14 hrs because I was drawing most of that time.  I was trying earnestly to get my friends wedding present finished on time.

The day after we got there we had a good friends reception to go to.  The next morning Casey and I got ready and drove down to the Manti Temple to see our friends get sealed. It is such a beautiful temple and we were so grateful that we were able to go. I drew all the way there and finished the picture right before the luncheon after the wedding.  I was relieved and grateful that I got it done.... although I did forget to take a picture. Dang!

Our girls were so excited that Grandma would read them a story every night before bed.  If Riley had her was she would be read stories all night.

One of the nights before we left we got to go out to dinner with my parents and sister Missy.  We loved getting to spend that time with them.

After dinner my parents took the kids home and Casey and I got to go out and see The Avengers.  We love love love date nights!  The movie was pretty good too :) Not the greatest picture but you get the idea.

Alas it came time to pack up and head for home. We headed home with a bunch more stuff than we came with.  My mom had me haul my old barbie doll house up (which Riley loves), and I was also able to go and look through some things at my grandmas house and take home some things that used to be hers.  I am so excited about those!

We stopped by Multnomah Falls on the way home.  The girls got too see a train and walk under in.  Which both scared them and thrilled them.

I love this guy!!

We made it home safe and sound, although we all brought home colds with us.

Happy Birthday to me :)

I turned 24 on the 24th this year.  I wasnt sure how my birthday was going to be but it was awesome thanks to my amazing husband.  We didnt have very much money on my birthday so I decided to raid my biker piggy piggy bank.  And he did not disappoint!  Inside was 240 coins that added up to be exactly $24.  No lie!  We both laughed and thought that was kind of awesome. Especially me though, 24 has always been my favorite number and so turning 24 on the 24th and having 240 coins that ended up being $24 was just icing on the cake.  I bet you can guess what I spent my money on...Thats right a chocolate costco cake! For some reason thats all I really wanted.

I also got the whole day mommy worry free.  Daddy changed every diaper, cleaned every mess, attended to the screams and fixed any problems before putting them down for bed. Then we got to cuddle up and watch a movie. I honestly couldnt think of anything that could have made that day better! :)  Thanks my love!
