My favorite Birthday Boy!

Its official, my guy is now 25!

I made Casey two cakes this year, a paper cake and a cheese cake.  The paper cake was just for fun.  I made 25 paper candles and hid them throughout our house so that he would have to find them.  For some reason he loves this kind of stuff, So seeing looking around the house enthusiastically for an hour was worth every minute of making that 6 tiered red velvet cake.

After finding all 25 of his candles we headed off to the movies as a family.  We had just pulled into the AMC parking lot when we hear Tinsley throw up.  Nice.  Well luckily right next to the AMC is a Target, so we drove over to the target with the windows rolled down and I ran inside and got Tins a new outfit and some wipes.  Luckily almost all of there summer stuff was on clearance so I got her a new outfit for really cheap.  I guess thats one way to get new clothes.

After she was all cleaned up we drove back to the theater and headed in to see Ice Age 3.  The girls loved it, and they did really well for their first time in a theater.  Of coarse they had to stop and "play" a few video games when the movie was over.

After the movie we headed to a few pet stores and got some rocks and supplies for Casey's new fish tank.  To say he is excited for his new fish tank is an understatement!  He spend a lot of time out back cleaning everything out and getting it ready for his new fish.

I made Casey his favorite, lasagna, for dinner and we topped it off with homemade no bake cheesecake.

Our fish tank sat empty for a few days while the water filtered and Casey go everything ready.  It didn't matter to our girls that there was no fish, they loved going over to the fish tank and looking inside.

Casey has been looking and looking and looking for fish to put in his tank (I had to talk him out of going to the pond down the road and bringing home some of those fishies).  Finally he found some fish that someone was giving away that we wanted, so yesterday we drove down to Olympia and My guy got his fish.  I wish I would have gotten his face when he first walked around the corner, he had a smile from ear to ear.

He has been checking on his fish all day and has named a couple.  I think its safe to say he had a pretty good birthday :)

Water Fight :)

Our crazy girls in the morning!  They both wanted their pictures taken so I thought I would share :)

Not all days are as crazy as this one, but sometimes I think they should be.  :)  We were all sitting on the couch watching a movie and I was really really bored!  So I went outside and started watering our flowers and bushes.  Because of this small heat wave we aren't getting much moisture.  Anyways one thing leads to another and next thing you know Casey comes headed around the corner of the yard with a bowl full of water and tries to get me wet.  I had the hose so I'm not really sure what he was thinking.  The girls decided to join in on the fun, and Tinsley quickly realized that this was not at all something that she wanted to be a part of!  I went inside and got them some balloons and filled them with water.

At the end of it all sometimes you just need a random water fight to make everything better!

Fun at the beach! Visit 2012 part 3

Casey had to work everyday but Saturday and Sunday while my parents were here, but even with that we were still able to go and have fun on the days he did work.  Up here in Washington you can get some strange weather.  On this day we planned to go to the beach because it was supposed to be the warmest and nicest day.  When we got up that day it was cloud covered and grey all day long until around 4.  Then the sun came out and graced us with its presence. When Casey got home from work we ate dinner and went off to the Steillacoom beach.  Its only about 15 min away from our house.

There are trains that run right up next to the beach.  The girls love watching them pass.  I think 3 or 4 passed just in the hour and a half we were there.

Grandma found Riley's beach toys and started building sand castles with her.  Which Riley loved!  Then my mom started to bury her own feet and Ry enthusiastically started to help!  Then somewhere in there she got the brilliant idea to fill her bucket with water and pour it on Grandmas feet.  I didn't get a great picture of my mom's facial expressions but they were priceless!  If you know my mom you know she hates the cold, and this water was not in any means warm.  Then after seeing how fun it was to do to grandma she went over to grandpa and poured a bucket on him.

After the water incident Riley wanted her feet buried too. So along with my help and grandmas we got her covered up.

Then of coarse she begged to have water poured on her legs too. :)  Poor grandma!

After covering herself with sand Grandma daringly went where no one thought she could....the ice cold water.  Thanks to grandpa she got it all washed off and got out of the water as quick as she could.

The girls thought it was the coolest thing to have daddy swing their legs through the water.  He was doing that when he suddenly stopped and got out of the water saying "jellyfish".

Sure enough there was a jellyfish.  It was dead and didn't have any tentacles, but we still didn't touch it except of coarse with a stick.

Two of my favorite people :)

Watching the trains pass by!

Me and my crazy, but cute husband :)

After the beach we went and got frozen yogurt.  What a way to top off a great day out!

We had such a great time with my parents and we feel so blessed that they came up to visit us and our girls.  We love when they come and we love the warmth they bring to our home.  Thank you mom and dad for coming to see me and my family!  We love you and miss you!
