Look who's 2!

Happy 2nd Birthday Tinsley!  Our little monkey princess, as daddy likes to call her, turned 2 on the 21st of June.  She has grown so much these last two years it just blows my mind. She woke up in a particularly good mood so that's always a plus.

I always make my girls something special for their birthday breakfast, so Tins got German pancakes which are a family favorite.

While Riley was taking a nap I let Tinsley help me make her birthday cake.  She saw the huge cupcake cake mold in my cabinets a few months back and has been asking for it since, so I finally got to pull it out and make her her giant cupcake.  We made her a strawberry cake with strawberry cream cheese frosting from scratch.  She is a natural cook!

Daddy brought home a special surprise for Tins when he got home from work.  Balloons!  She was so excited that she got a whole bouquet of balloons.  She just kept running circles around the house with her balloons tailing behind her.  Like a good sister she shared a balloon with Riley so they both got to have fun.  Well that fun lasted a good 20 minutes until Tinsley walked out the back door with all of her balloons and let them fly free in the cool Washington air.  I think I was more upset than Tinsley.  She just kept saying balloons are bye bye mom.  But I guess on a positive note Rileys one balloon that Tins gave her lasted a good week so the girls still got to have a little fun.

Now that daddy was home that meant presents!  She got a few little toys including an magna doodle and ball, but her favorite presents were by far her tent from mom and dad and bubbles from Grandma B.

Showing some sisterly love :)

Finally it was cake time!  She was so excited to blow out her candles, but in the end it was Riley who got them out.  Thank heavens for sisters.

We had a great day with our beautiful girl!  Happy Birthday to our sweet little Tinsley!
